Why is this project happening now?
The reason that the Babocomari Bridge Replacement Project is happening now is that it has current funding available. Santa Cruz County secured a competitive federal grant for off-system bridges that will secure funding for the design and construction. The project is administered by ADOT in partnership with Santa Cruz County.
